Before joining DFT, Mr. Viet Anh worked at VDC (Data and Transmission Company). With over 15 years of extensive experience in consulting, designing, and implementing network infrastructure systems, he has supported leading telecommunications companies such as VDC, VTI, Viettel, and VMS, as well as various government ministries including the Ministry of Public Security, Ministry of National Defense, and Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment. Additionally, he has collaborated with major corporations like MobiFone, VinaPhone, Viettel, Bao Viet, and Techcombank.

Mr. Viet Anh holds a degree in Information Technology from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (2005) and is certified in several advanced network management and security credentials. He is one of the select few experts in Vietnam to possess multiple prestigious Cisco certifications, including the highly regarded CCSI (Cisco Certified Systems Instructor) certification.

Mr. Phuong is the founder and has been the Chairman of the Board at DFT since January 2012. Prior to founding DFT, he held various positions, ranging from expert to managerial roles, at major companies in Vietnam such as VNPT, EIS, and Elcom. Mr. Phuong possesses extensive experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale system integration projects in Vietnam, serving clients in the Government, Telecommunications, and Banking-Finance sectors.

Mr. Phuong graduated from Hanoi University of Science and Technology (2002) and holds a Master's degree in Information Systems Management from the University of Nottingham, UK (2006). Additionally, he is one of the first 10 experts in Vietnam to achieve the CCIE certification—the highest level of certification offered by Cisco.

Mr. Nguyen Tuan Anh graduated with honors in Information Technology from Hanoi University of Science and Technology in 2005. During his fourth year of university, he began an internship and later became one of the key technical pillars at FPT Software (from 2005 to 2009).

During his time at FPT Software, Mr. Tuan Anh participated in many major projects, including a two-year onsite deployment in Japan, where he earned several important certifications such as Microsoft MCP# (2005), JITEC's Basic IT Engineer Certification (Japan) (2005), Vietnam-Japan Bridge Engineer Certification from AOTS (2008), and Project Management Foundational Certification - PMC (2008). Mr. Tuan Anh joined DFT in 2012 as Chief Technical Officer (CTO), playing a critical role in system design and solution architecture for highly complex projects with Mobifone, VNPOST, and Vietnam Airlines.

2004: Establishment of the Training Institute

In 2004, driven by the aspiration to elevate Vietnamese professionals to globally recognized standards, we established a training company, starting with Cisco network certifications. Equipped with state-of-the-art lab facilities, we ensured a hands-on learning experience for our students. Over time, we expanded our curriculum to include top-tier certifications from Microsoft, IBM, Oracle, and advanced security certifications such as CEH, CISSP, and OSCP. Recognizing the growing demands of the IT industry, we further extended our offerings to include specialized courses in software development, programming, business analysis, and project management. Notably, we became more than just a knowledge provider; we served as a crucial bridge between our students and IT companies seeking high-caliber talent.

2004

2009: Establishment of the Software Development Team

In 2009, after a pivotal meeting with Tuan Anh, who later became the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of the company, we established a software development team. The team’s early projects were small and straightforward, such as building the company website and developing an enrollment management system. During this period, we also collaborated with NIIT from India to provide programming training for high school students, helping them gain clearer career orientations and better opportunities upon graduation.

2009

2012: Establishment of DFT Software Company

In January 2012, we formally established DFT Software Company, commencing operations with an initial team of six engineers. From 2012 to 2015, our primary focus was on developing mobile software solutions, including gaming applications and utility apps across platforms such as Android, iOS, and Windows Phone. The mobile app ecosystem during this period was thriving, and our clientele was remarkably diverse, spanning from Latin America to Europe, with key markets in countries like Germany and Turkey.

The technical expertise we acquired during mobile app development became instrumental in later projects, particularly in optimizing UI/UX design, implementing robust transaction processing for high-volume systems, and integrating secure payment gateways. Additionally, we took pride in mentoring a large cohort of mobile development interns during this phase, many of whom went on to achieve significant success in both domestic and international game and application development companies.

2012

2016: Expansion into the Telecommunications Sector

After a period of rapid growth, the rising cost of customer acquisition made sustaining the mobile app development sector less feasible. In December 2016, we shifted our focus away from mobile app development and redirected our efforts toward business projects with major telecommunications providers in Vietnam. We began exploring and deploying advanced technologies such as Direct Carrier Billing (DCB), Business Intelligence (BI), Wi-Fi Calling, SIP Trunking, and CRM Contact Center systems.

Engaging in these large-scale, high-tech projects significantly enhanced the technical expertise and capabilities of our team. By the end of 2016, we had expanded to more than 40 employees, ready to tackle new challenges in the telecommunications industry.

2016

2018: Expansion of FDI and Government Client Base

In 2018, we conducted a strategic meeting to broaden our market reach. Domestically, we secured our first projects with key government organizations such as the Government Cipher Committee, the Ministry of Planning and Investment, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Ministry of National Defense. On the international front, we received direct orders from Germany, the United States, and Turkey. We also initiated partnerships with Japanese enterprises operating in Vietnam, including DTS Corp, Hyperion, Nissho Electronics, and Sumi-Hanel (a joint venture between Sumitomo and Hanel).

Collaborating with foreign companies, especially Japanese firms, provided us with invaluable learning opportunities in areas such as management practices, workflow optimization, and adapting to the stringent quality standards demanded by these markets.

2018

2020: Expansion of Enterprise-Level Clientele

Leveraging our deep expertise in addressing complex data processing challenges within the telecommunications sector, we strategically expanded our operations to include similar large-scale projects for clients in the aviation, banking, freight logistics, and business process outsourcing (BPO) sectors. By 2022, we had successfully delivered high-impact solutions for key clients such as Vietnam Airlines, VPBank, VNPost, and Bellsystem24-HoaSao. During this period, DFT's Learning Management System (LMS) was also rolled out on a large scale, serving over 3,000 IT specialists across various Departments of Information and Communications, as well as at IT centers under governmental ministries and agencies.

2020

2022: Research and Implementation of New AI and IoT Technologies

Building on our extensive expertise in data platform development and Business Intelligence (BI) solutions, we established dedicated research teams to explore the application of AI and IoT technologies in addressing complex telecommunications challenges. Early success in IoT was achieved with the deployment of systems for monitoring and controlling agricultural equipment, as well as station facility management. Additionally, our AI research team developed a sophisticated chatbot solution, enabling enterprises to quickly access their data without the need to engage with specialized software applications.

2022

2023: First Japanese Client Acquisition

In 2023, we successfully acquired our first Japanese client. While our inaugural project faced some initial challenges, it provided us with invaluable lessons on refining our processes and better understanding the working culture of Japanese partners. Fortunately, despite the early difficulties, our client continued to place their trust in us, awarding us several critical and complex projects, including those related to LLM and Data platforms.
